Summary:
The EHR Support Specialist I provides support to BestCare staff in EHR (electronic health record) activities, modules, workflows and troubleshooting the system.
This role will document workflows and recommend workflow standards within the system, tracking incidents and requests for IT support to trouble-shoot, identify and resolve or refer problems according to Health Informatics Director and company protocols.
Essential Functions:
Serves as primary contact and/or liaison between EHR and BestCare staff needs; Maintains user life cycle with access to EHR and other clinical applications.
Discontinues all employee access upon separation of employment.
Provides technical, operational, and training support to users by telephone, email, virtual, or in person; Plans, analyzes, designs, and modifies EHR software applications, including encoding, testing, communicating with leadership to implement recommended improvements; Works with Health Informatics Director and EHR to provide system improvements; Tracks issues and follows SLA's to trouble-shoot, identify and resolve or refer problems according to Health Informatics Director and company protocols; Resolves issues timely based on urgency and/or priority; Works with IT Support Specialist(s) to support overlapping technology issues; Addresses any unresolved user problems, outstanding trouble calls, or other areas of concern that need to be escalated to the Health Informatics Director for further analysis and support.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma (or equivalent); Associates Degree in related field preferred; Experience providing application support to users, specifically electronic health records required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid and current Oregon Driver License, a reliable vehicle and adequate insurance coverage REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
Must have demonstrated competency or ability to attain competency within a reasonable period for each of the following:
High proficiency in MS Office 365 basic operating systems Knowledge of and proficiency with electronic health records in healthcare settings Strong prioritization skills, follow-through and excellent attention to detail required Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
Strong time management and prioritization skills Ability to communicate technical information to audiences of varied levels of technical knowledge and to provide quality service Ability to remain calm and flexible while working Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) in a professional setting and working with a diverse, multi-cultural population of employees Ability to exhibit a sense of urgency and prioritization of work and assignments, as appropriate.
Ability and willingness to travel between business locations as needed.
Strong customer service skills and demonstrate a positive, solution-oriented focus PREFERRED:
Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a plus TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Computer/laptop, copy/fax/scanning machines, printers, telephone or multiline phone.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
