At the Shepherd's House Redmond, we provide a safe and healing environment for those who need overnight shelter; meals and other basic support services; a nurturing and supportive community; and rehabilitative relationships and services.

Our community-supported ministry seeks to engage communities, churches, organizations, and volunteers to join us in our mission within Redmond specifically, but also generally throughout Central Oregon.
We seek to build alliances with such partners to serve the unsheltered and needy of Redmond and Central Oregon.

AREAS OF TRAINING AND RESPONSIBILITY The Case Manager's specific duties and responsibilities will be to:

Provide a welcoming, safe environment at Shepherd's House Redmond where guests are encouraged to access, and benefit from, day-use activities and navigation services.

Support and assist in creating and facilitating daily activities centered on experiential learning.
3.
Engage with clients of Shepherd's House Redmond to learn their story and create an action plan specific to their needs.
4.
Prepare and maintain client case files.
5.
Record and report information including, but not limited to, Shepherd's House Redmond occupancy, participation, connections, transitions, and exits.
Specifically, be prepared to enter client point data into the HMIS system.

Guide and assist clients as they establish and navigate relationships with service providers and community partners.
In support of this function, develop strong positive relationships in Redmond with public and private agencies, local businesses, civic organizations, potential employers and work sources, potential volunteer sources, and any other groups, associations, or individuals who would intersect with our guests and potentially be resources for them.

Guide and assist volunteers as they establish and navigate their relationships with Shepherd's House Redmond, our clients, and Shepherd's House Redmond team of staff and interns.
8.
Collaborate with Shepherd's House Redmond team, service providers, and volunteers to identify and pursue new and creative ways to address chronic houselessness in our region.
Specifically, establish and leverage relationships and sources of support within the Redmond community, to increase the availability of such pathways.
9.
Engage with service providers to monitor progress, identify potential gaps in service and means to overcome apparent obstacles, collaborate on pathways to healing and habilitation, and coordinate regarding delivery of service and logistics to Shepherd's House Redmond participants.
Specifically, develop strong collaborative relationships with Redmond service providers.
10.
Engage in motivating and hosting service provider and agency events at Shepherd's House Redmond.
11.
Engage in neighbor relations to promote a positive standing of Shepherd's House Redmond.
12.
Engage in other leadership responsibilities and duties as may be necessary.
13.
Partake in providing safe, secure, and sanitary operation of Shepherd's House Redmond as a physical facility, through first contact interaction with appropriate facility service providers, as well as through guidance and/or supervision of appropriate SHM staff.
14.
Fulfill any other duties and responsibilities as may be directed or assigned by the Director of Low Barrier Service, Director of Operations, or other applicable SHM leadership.
Qualifications:
Two (2) years of direct service experience, including case management services to vulnerable populations, advocacy for low-income populations (or related), experience working with and an understanding of culturally diverse groups.
Preference for applicants with experience in management of a low-barrier shelter.
Ability and capacity to act as a program director and partner closely with supervisor regarding overall operations.
Ability to exercise sound, independent judgment, to maintain a high level of confidentiality, respond effectively to emergency and crisis situations, and resolve problems.
Dependable and flexible for highly autonomous work as well as work in team settings.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Analytical capability, ability to work effectively with data and identify trends, draw on history, and recognize what has worked and what has not.
Valid Oregon driver's license and qualified to drive SHM-insured vehicles.
