The Permitting Specialist oversees the permit process for construction contracts, ensuring that building permits are obtained in a timely manner within all jurisdictions located throughout Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
The Permitting Specialist serves as the main point of contact regarding permit and jurisdiction questions and follow-up for customers and team members during the timeframe from contract submission until the Building Permit is issued and construction can begin.
Responsibilities Include:
Permit Assessment and Execution:
Responsible for identifying jurisdictional and owner requirements for application submittals, collaborating with the Plans team for modifications, and efficiently handling Building Permit Applications while ensuring compliance with local jurisdiction requirements.
Document Control:
Collaborates with the Plans team to obtain Site Plans for both Turnkey and Non-Turnkey Contracts, compiles and uploads plan sets and related documents to the Job Record in ERP system, and diligently maintains and updates document checklists based on jurisdictional requirements.
Permit Schedule Management:
Responsible for efficient and comprehensive customer communication during contract review, smooth handling of the Building Permit process, ongoing updates to customers and jurisdictions, notification of permit approval, and seamless team communication for task completion.

What You Can Offer:
Education High School diploma or GED required Specialized knowledge An understanding of contractual documents and basic construction terminology is preferred.
Skills Ability to creatively solve problems and work under time constraints with minimal supervision.
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, to all levels of technical and non-technical Audiences.
Ability to work with team members to produce quality work within tight timeframes while managing multiple Priorities simultaneously.
Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
General knowledge of Microsoft Office One Drive, Excel, PDF, and DocuSign.

Identify and share improvements to our processes and tools.
